I'm just not sure I understand how a plane "disappears." That word doesn't fit with what happened. I don't think it disappeared, I think someone hi-jacked it or had some terrible plan for the people on the flight since it deliberately changed direction. I feel like we can assume that the people are dead, or severely injured.
